Know What You Eat

http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list and you’ll find nutrition information for more than 8,000 foods broken down into 25 food groups. It even has data from manufactures, so you can find out what’s in a cup of Campbell’s Tomato soup or a Big Mac… if you dare to look. It takes just seconds to find any food. And once you have the food you’re looking for, the listing shows you just how much protein, fiber, sugar, water, and carbohydrate is in it, as well as all the vitamins, minerals, and lipids. And, to make it even more useful, the data is broken down by serving size. I recently added the website to the “Favorites” tab on my computer so I can pull it up in no time. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to look over the site and that you find it as useful as I do.]]>
