Using the Ball in Warm-Up

When teaching a large class, it is sometime difficult to guide everyone. Sometimes, you wish you could guide everyone at once. I always like to use what I have around me, and for this tip I want to focus on the ball. BeyondBarre uses 9 inch balls, inflated enough to allow some give, because when it is used between the knees is will put the clients standing with their legs inner hip width apart. For these larger classes, or beginner classes, have everyone take the ball between their knees before the Warm-Up begins. Then cue the clients to have their second toe forward. They are now standing inner hip-width apart. Use this when finding BeyondBarre Stance, and at the standing barre for the parallel hip-width position.]]>
