Today we’re changing up our usual morning smoothie with a decadent chocolate version! Our smoothie is just as packed with protein and healthy fats as our usual vanilla version. It’s a great breakfast, doubles as a perfect afternoon snack, and is totally detox approved. WIN. We’ve been making this smoothie recipe at the Parsley office around the 3pm slump lately; it keeps our energy up, our brains focused for the rest of the afternoon, and our bellies full, which guarantees we don’t ransack the fridge when we get home. WIN again. Make it your own by adding a tablespoon of chia seeds for an extra boost of omegas, a spoonful of ashwaganda powder to help steady your nervous system, or a spoonful of maca for an extra boost of energy. Smoothie recipe serves 1 for breakfast, 2 for snack Chocolate smoothie:
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk or water
- ½ cup frozen dark sweet cherries
- 2 scoops chocolate Rebuild protein powder
- ½ banana or ¼ avocado, optional (for extra creaminess)
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- Dash of cinnamon
- 3 cubes of ice
